welcome to gamma pi gamma
Welcome to Long Beach, California's Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae Chapter!
We are a casual group of women of all ages with one common bond--AXO.
Currently, our diverse and intimate group is comprised of recent grads, designers, lawyers, moms, CPAs, professors, and retirees--just to name a few.
Gamma Pi Gamma meets several times a year. There is an annual holiday party, a panhellenic scholarship dinner, a summer potluck and many "happy hours" in between. We also support our sisters at the various local collegiate chapters. Noteably, the Epsilon chapter at USC and the Epsilon Psi chapter at UCI.
If you are a recent graduate or alum new to the area, please download our membership form and contact our president Ellen Files. We look forward to meeting you soon. Check out our 2007-2008 events calendar to see all planned events.

Well, 2007 proves that the march of the babies goes on. Two fellow alums are preggers with their first. Norah Dunbar is due in November and Nikki Batsch will deliver in 2008. Maybe something is in the water in LBC!
Another USC event, GPG was there to represent!

Here's a pic from the wine tasting at Olga's house. Each guest brought a Cab or Pinot Noir. Blind taste testing and hilarity ensued. The cutie in the middle is little Kayla, and she only gets to participate in the tasting through mom [Rachel is shown at the bottom right]! Join us for our next event...
And did we mention that Gwen recieved kudos? Here she is shown with Diane, a bouquet of red and a shiny new 25 year pin!
Final new legacy for 2006? Baby Avery was born on April 26, 2006 weighing 6lbs 11oz. measuring 18.5 inches. 1 day old and already wearing a Tiara. Momma Olga couldn't be prouder. Are we moving from events including alcohol to mommy and me? Not quite, check out the next event...

The legacy train continues! Baby Kayla is looking stylish in her hat, posing with mom Rachel. Congrats to Rachel and Cary, Kayla was born March 7 at 8:46 pm weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces, and measuring 18 inches long.
A new legacy? Baby Hope is the fiesty new little one of parents Julie and Tim. Born 1/22/06 at 5 lbs. 14 oz. and 17.5 inches; you can see she already has an opinion about her first day out of the womb! See more pictures here
Gamma Pi Gamma's own Cal State Long Beach professor at large, Norah Dunbar, taught a semester at sea. Read about her adventures in her blog.
Thanks to Dianne, who hosted a holiday BUNCO party at her lovely Lakewood home. We donated some items to a local battered women's shelter and enjoyed a rowdy game of dice.
Thanks to Ellen for providing the picture below. Some of our alumnae received their 50 and 75 year pins last june!
